ESTWELD Exothermic Welding System
ESTWELD SAFE was developed as a simplified method of performing exothermically welded electrical connections, continuing a tradition of technical leadership in the field. The system features a newly designed ESTWELD SAFE cup for the integrated welding material package, which streamlines installation by eliminating the need for separate ignition materials.
The tamper proof, integrated welding material package consists of a copper cup containing ESTWELD SAFE’s patented welding material alloys along with an ignition source. This shaped welding material package is designed for use in all standard ESTWELD SAFE molds. Once placed in the mold, the welding material is ignited electronically using a battery-powered control unit with a six-foot lead.

System overview:
The ESTWELD SAFE system consists of a tamper proof, disposable, moisture-resistant welding material cup, with the welding material, disk and ignition source all incorporated into a self-contained package. It offers a long shelf life and can complete welds at distances of up to 6 ft (1.8 meters), with the option to extend this further.
The system requires minimal components, with no starting material, disks or flint igniters needed. It is easy to handle, store and transport by air, land or sea in unlimited quantities, and can reduce installation time by 20%.
A safety-certified electronic igniter is designed to perform 500 connections using one set of 8 standard AA batteries, which are included, removing the need for special batteries or chargers. The system is designed for use in standard ESTWELD SAFE molds.
